Briefly about photography in my life Since 2020, I have been working as a female art photographer. At first, I studied at a photography school, and then I spent a long time searching for myself and experimenting. My work as a photographer was closely tied to my jewelry making, as I often invited girls to model my pieces. Over time, however, photography became a separate form of expression for my vision and perception of the world. I began photographing women without my jewelry, but still incorporating my creativity into the process.

Because of the war and relocation, my photography activities have slowed down a little. It’s also influenced by the fact that I can only communicate fluently in English with the help of a translator😅 At the moment, I’m more focused on my work as a jeweler than as a photographer. Behind the scenes, I’m teaching my husband how to take photos (so that he can photograph me with jewelry), and I’m enjoying macro photography of nature and stones. But of course, I miss working with women — seeing their outer beauty and inner worlds, and being able to capture that in a photograph.

And now let's get to the specifics.

I took my first professional shots with a Nikon D7000. Back in 2020, this camera felt like a bar of gold to me — it was a big investment, and since the world of DSLR cameras was uncharted territory, I was incredibly happy and inspired. To go with it, we bought a Nikkor Micro-Nikkor 105mm f/2.8G IF-ED AF-S VR macro lens. That was when I fell in love with the world of macro photography.

I often wandered with it through the forests and snowy landscapes of Siberia.

Of course, after experimenting with jewelry photography at –40°C, the camera sensor started to glitch and show dead pixels.

I was still so happy!

I practiced the art of photography. Thank you so much to the girls who agreed to participate in photo shoots!

I think that if I put the photos in a row, like in a gallery, you can see how I gained experience and improved my skills.

Later, I realized it was time to move on, and we purchased a Sony a7 IV in 2023, which serves me faithfully to this day, delighting me with its colors and its wonderful ability to capture reality as it is. My lenses are the Sony 50mm f/1.8 and the TTArtisan 100mm f/2.8 Macro 2X.

For editing my photos, I use Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom.

This photo shows the beautiful Ulyana. The photo was taken at night, and we used a string of lights, a night light that works without a power supply, and a special lantern light.

I love carefully preparing for a photoshoot. Feel the magic of the moment, let it fill you, and share it with your models.

I have also submitted my photos to various magazines to showcase the beauty of women and the magical worlds that imagination can create.

Photographing women gives me the opportunity to feel that I am not alone in my vision of the world’s magic. During a photo shoot, I immerse myself in a fairy tale — I believe in it, I breathe it, and through the model, I feel that I am not alone. All the magic becomes real, not only in my mind, but also in reality.

I never aimed to become a famous photographer. I simply want to bring a drop of kindness and beauty into this vast world, to give joy and inspiration. To me, this is the most important reason to improve one’s skills and to live — by giving your heart to kindness✨🌸
